As a kid growing up doing the development of nuclear energy, it was both fascinating and terrifying to try to comprehend. I realize that I've kept images of it's intense power in my mind all my life. This is my imaged idea of fusion, the process where two atomic nuclei combine to form a single, heavier nucleus, releasing a tremendous amount of energy.
