Horse with Mask

$56.00

Size: 14″ x 11″ matted and backed, 7.5″ x 9.5″ image mat opening print showing, printed with white border on 8.5″ x 11″ Giclee high quality archival paper. Personally printed and signed by artist.

On my way to Vermont from New York I would always pass this white horse that had been put to pasture. On one of my trips I decided to stop and photograph this horse as my subject. Now most of the time my experience is that horses would turn there backsides to me when they saw I was watching them and it took some time for this subject to get comfortable enough to start to approach the fence. I love the contrasts of the green field brush with the darker green of the mountain behind. The horse seemed noble to me, especially with that mesh screen he was wearing on his face.
