Botany is the topic of this strange work. I see this piece as the spreading of imaginary mushrooms along the forest floor. The mushroom is only the fruit, while the intricate network of fungal threads, called mycelia, spreads underground, connecting trees and breaking down organic matter to nourish the forest ecosystem.
