Worked through a challenging afternoon. I wanted a person (an abstraction) to be the subject matter. The work always has a mind of its own (I know that it’s really my mind directing it- but very subconsciously). I seemed in the process to channel a noble from the Qin Dynasty. The Qin dynasty or Ch’in dynasty was the first dynasty of Imperial China, lasting from 221 to 206 BC.
