Stairway in Chesterfield, NH

$56.00

Size: 14″ x 11″ matted and backed, 7.5″ x 9.5″ image mat opening print showing, printed with white border on 8.5″ x 11″ Giclee high quality archival paper. Personally printed and signed by artist.

My friend John wanted to show this place that was a long hike from a local park in New Hampshire. When we got to this stone ruin he told me that back in the 1930’s this was a speakeasy and a brothel that was frequented by mobsters of the era, including Al Capone. And that it was so popular that a train ran from NYC once a year to bring the elite to it many attractions. From an artistic viewpoint, I found that the stonework looked magnificent against the surrounding autumn foliage.
